Bog Beans, home of the chocolate covered cranberry. We specialize in fine chocolates, chocolate covered fruit, homemade fudge, old fashioned candy, gourmet fresh roasted coffee, and other homemade Cape Cod Confections.
General Policies
We recommend that Bog Beans ordered May through September be shipped second day air. They will be packaged in styrofoam with polar packs to preserve quality. We reserve the right to substitute products of the same or greater value when necessary.
Shipping Information
Ordered are typically processed within 24 hours of receipt, however, longer processing times may occur depending on the time of year, products ordered or unexpectedly high volume of transactions. Many products are produced and/or packaged as orders are received (for example, coffee may be roasted and/or freshly ground after an order is received). While this practice will help ensure optimal quality and freshness it may result in longer processing times. We will work diligently to process all orders as expediently as possible, but we cannot guarantee that all orders will ship within 24 hours of receipt.
We offer overnight, 2nd day and standard (up to five business days) shipping via UPS. All delivery times are based on business days (for example, an order shipped using 2nd day on a Thursday would not arrive until the following Monday). If your order is contingent on the product shipping the same day that the order is placed, please note this fact in the comments section or call 1-800-248-8639. If we are unable to ship your order that day, we will cancel the order. The shipping times indicated are based on UPS delivery schedules and while rare, UPS errors and shipping delays outside our control may occur. We cannot be held responsible for any shipping delays outside of our control.
Substitutions
In the even that a particular item is out of stock, or we judge it to be of less than high quality or condition at the time an order is placed, we reserve the right to substitute a similar item of equal or greater value.

The history of chocolate in America closely parallels the history of the Chocolate House in Sagamore, on Cape Cod. In the 19th Century an Italian family with ties to Genoa’s famous chocolatiers, emigrated to the United States and began making chocolates and other confections for the crowds who fled the city on weekends for the cool waters of the Charles River. Soon the family had their own chocolate ‘house’ and a reputation for special treats, including that newfangled sweet called ‘fudge’. As the highways came and neighborhoods changed, the family moved their business to Cape Cod, occupying a prominent position just across the Sagamore Bridge, and offering visitors their first – never their last, ‘taste of the Cape’. Today it is not uncommon for the Chocolate House – now known as ChocoLatté, to greet the grandchildren of the Chocolate House’s first customers, and to assure them that, “Yes, we still make the fudge the old-fashioned way: using antique, hammered copper pots, all-natural ingredients, and stirring and stirring with large hickory oars until the very last moment.”
Today Cape Cod Specialty Foods offers a wide selection of specialty products which meet our simple, classic criteria: from our home made, Old World recipe Fudge (cooked on the premises in antique copper pots), to our signature item - the world famous chocolate covered cranberries known as Bog Beans, everything we offer is original, authentic, and delicious.
